PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image-recording material in which the preservability and coloring properties of a coloring agent are compatibilized with each other, and the discoloration at the preservation time of the formed color image is improved. SOLUTION: An image recording material containing a compound represented by the formula is heated into the image form to form an image. In the formula, Ar represents aryl or an aromatic heterocyclic group. D represents a group other than acyl group separated by heat or acid. L represents a group to be separated after removal of D. R1 and R2 and C together represent a coloring matter-forming coupler residue, and C represents a coupling carbon. R1 and R2 may be bonded to form a ring. |
