PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emphasize complicated expression of a human in real time in an easy-to-see state by making the shape and movement of an image correspond to the shape and movement of a symbol according to a data base in which the correspondence relation between the image and symbol is recorded. SOLUTION: A user's terminal comprises an image capturing means 1 which captures an image of the user, an image processing means 2 which analyzes the captured image and makes changes of the shape and movement of the image of the user correspond to the shape and movement of a character (symbol), such as an animal, that the user freely selects, and a display means 5 which displays information on the symbol. When the image of the user is captured by using a camera, etc., encoded deformation parameters are extracted from the captured human image. The correspondence relation between the human deformation parameters and animation data is held in a correspondence relation data base in advance and animation data are generated by referring to the correspondence relation data base. For example, an image of a laughing person is made correspond to animation data of a laughing cat. |
