PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely detect the physical condition of a subject lying on bedding such as a bed by building an electromagnetic wave transmitting and receiving sensor in the bedding for the subject. SOLUTION: A microwave transmitting and receiving sensor 11 emits microwaves to the breast on the like of a subject lying on bedding such as a bed 1 or the like or sleeping thereon, calculates the displacement of the breast on the like of the subject on the basis of the microwave reflected from the breast on the like of the subject, and detects the body state such as heart rate and/or respiration rate of the subject on the basis of the calculation result. The microwave transmitting and receiving sensor 11 is built in the bedding such as bed 1 for the subject, and the subject is never accompanied by the relative displacement based on a large body motion other than minute body motion by heart beat or breathing to the microwave transmitting and receiving sensor 11. Accordingly the physical condition of the subject can be easily and precisely detected by use of the microwave transmitting and receiving sensor 11 from the displacement of the minute body motion by the heart beat or breathing of the subject. |
