PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color display device capable of improving luminance by improving the utilization efficiency of light emitted from a light source without deteriorating image quality. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 27 is irradiated with color light obtained by color-separating white light emitted from the light source 21 by a color wheel 23 driven to be rotated by a motor 24, so that a video displayed on the panel 27 is enlarged and projected. The color wheel 23 is made a reflection type one, and the respective reflection areas (red reflection area, green reflection area and blue reflection area) of the color wheel 23 are formed on an opposite side to a side where the motor 24 is arranged. |
