PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a recycling cost so that a total cost is restrained and to prevent a back cover from inadvertently opening. SOLUTION: This film unit with a lens has at least a unit main body 1 having a photographing image frame part 1a where a film is exposed by a photographing lens and a photographing image plane is formed, an unexposed film chamber 1b where an unexposed film roll is previously housed at a manufacturing stage on the one side of the part 1a and an exposed film chamber 1c where an exposed film is housed on the other side of the part 1a. This unit is also provided with the back cover 4 which can freely open/close with respect to the main body 1, which covers the chambers 1b and 1c in a closing condition and opens the chambers 1b and 1c in an opening condition, a holding means holding the cover 4 so as to open/close the chambers 1b and 1c without separating the cover 4 with respect to the main body 1, an engaging means keeping the cover 4 in the closing condition with respect to the main body 1, and a covering member covering at least the engaging means.
