PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive conversion device which has a gentle pressure-sensitive characteristic. SOLUTION: An electrode 2a is formed on the surface of a resin film 1a, and a first pressure-sensitive layer 3a ia formed on its surface. In addition, an electrode 2b is formed on the surface of a resin film 1b, and a second pressure-sensitive layer 3b is formed on its surface. The pressure-sensitive layers 3a, 3b are constituted in such a way that scalelike carbon particles 4 of high conductivity and amorphous carbon particles 5 of low conductivity are contained and that both particles are solidified by an elastic resin-based binder 6. By this constitution, the average distance between the carbon particles becomes small when a pressure force is applied to the resin films 1a, 1b, a tunnel conduction phenomenon is generated, and the continuity resistance value between the electrodes 2a, 2b is lowered. In this case, since the tunnel conduction phenomenon is used, a pressure-sensitive characteristic can be made gentle.
