PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly conduct signal amplification and signal processing to be executed in an image pickup element or at the outside of the image pickup element by correcting the dispersion between pixels caused by dispersion or the like in detectors and amplifier elements. SOLUTION: A read circuit for an image pickup element consists of a plurality of detectors 101, that convert an electromagnetic wave into an electrical signal, a 1st constant current source 102 that supplies a prescribed bias current to the detectors 101, an FPN correction constant current source 113 which connects to the 1st constant current source 102 and acting like a 2nd constant current source to correct dispersion in the detectors 101, and a 3rd constant current source 104 connected similarly to the 1st constant current source 102 to cancel the bias current. The 2nd constant current source 113 consists of a plurality of sets of bipolar transistors(TRs) 116 and resistors 115, and each resistance of the resistors 115 is selected inversely proportional to the emitter size of each bipolar TR 116.
