PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the constant thrust of a cylinder device irrespective of the table height when a table is elevated. SOLUTION: A table elevating/lowering device comprises parallel arms 21, 22 which are arranged on a frame 1 in a derrickable manner in a perpendicular plane and parallel to each other in the vertical direction, a table 4 mounted on a derricking tip of the parallel arms 21, 22, and a cylinder device to derrick the parallel arms 21, 22 by longitudinally moving a press roller 56 bitten between a receiving surface formed on a base end side of either of the parallel arms 21, 22 and a rolling surface on the frame 1. The receiving surface 71 is formed into an arc-shape so that the thrust of the cylinder device 5 is approximately constant irrespective of the derricking angle of the parallel arms 21, 22.
