PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type clock having the second hand formed like a living thing to perform unique action in a simple constitution to make a person enjoy when seeing it. SOLUTION: This clock comprises the hour hand pipe 4c, the minute hand pipe 4b and the second hand shaft 4a which are disposed on the same axis. A pointer is turnably supported to the hour hand fitted to the hour hand pipe 4c, the minute hand 5b fitted to the minute hand pipe 4b and the second hand shaft 4a fitted to the second hand shaft 4a, and when it approaches to the hour hand or the minute hand 5b by the handling of a needle, a first magnet and a second magnet act to repel each other, so that the second hand 5a turns on a V-groove 8 toward the second hand shaft. Thus, the second hand 5a can give an impression like a living thing to a person seeing it.
