PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer or a label printer with a scale, in which various set items can be set simply. SOLUTION: This label printer comprises a ROM 19 in which set contents corresponding to various set items of devices which are formed in a table for every identification word beforehand are stored, a scanner 25 for reading the identification words relating the set contents corresponding to various set items of devices, and a setting means 10 for reading out from the memory means 19 set contents corresponding to various set items of devices corresponding to the identification words read by the scanner 25 and automatically setting various set items of devices.
