发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress change of a color tone occurring in observing from a side or an oblique direction by dividing liq. crystals in a block, in which single pixel or plural pixels are defined as one unit, into those in two kinds of domains and making layer normal directions of respective domains orthogonally crossed each other. SOLUTION: Respective averaged molecular axis directions in a molecular position showing bright state in a domain D1 and a molecular position showing bright state in a domain D2 are orthogonally crossed and the change of transmitted light quantity by the molecular position in observing from an oblique direction can be reduced by coexisting the domain D1 and D2 where their layer normal directions are orthogonally crossed each other. That is, e.g. in the case of dividing one pixel into those in two kinds of domains D1, D2 where their layer normal directions are orthogonally crossed each other, the relation between an azimuth and retardation in respective bright states of D1, D2 is specified and the relation is in reverse. Then, they are in a relation compensating each other.
