<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an internal device even when an elastic body receives an external force larger than its permissible force in case of an impact and to make easily understandable that the equipment has received the external force by covering the internal device with elastic bodies and making the ridges and corners of the outer housing of the electronic equipment and their peripheries thinner than the surface of the outer housing. SOLUTION: Some or all of internal devices such as a storage device having a disklike storage medium and a liquid crystal display device are covered with the elastic bodies and the ridges and corners of the outer housing of the electronic equipment and their peripheries are made thinner than the surface of the outer housing. In this electronic equipment, the elastic body 2 covering the storage device 1 and the elastic body 9 covering the liquid crystal display device 7 are made of high-density rubber or gel materials. When this electronic equipment receives an external force, the elastic bodies 2 absorb the shock for attenuation. When the elastic bodies 2 receive an external force larger than the permissible force, the ridges and corners of the outer housing and their peripheries deform to absorb the shock for attenuation. Consequently, the influence on the storage device 1, etc., can be suppressed.</p> |
