<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console box for an automobile having no fear of misoperation. SOLUTION: This console box has a console box main body 1, an auxiliary box 2 and a cover body 3, and when the cover body 3 is rotated in the opening direction together with the auxiliary box 2, the console box main body 1 is opened, and when only the cover body 3 is rotated in the opening direction, the auxiliary box 2 is opened. In this case, a first lock means 9 is rotatably arranged on the auxiliary box side, a second lock means 16 is rectilinearly movably arranged, and since the first lock means 9 is urged in the direction for engaging with the console box main body 1 side by urging spring pressure and the second lock means 16 is urged in the direction for engaging with the cover body 3 side by urging spring pressure, when the console box main body 1 is opened and when the auxiliary box is opened, the operation direction of the first lock means and the second lock means is different, so that misoperation can be prevented.</p> |
