PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to support an exhaust system part, in an internal combustion engine mounted on a vehicle. SOLUTION: When an exhaust emission control system 7 is disposed in the middle of an exhaust pipe 5 running from an exhaust manifold 4 below an internal combustion engine 1 mounted in the engine room 3 of a vehicle 2 with a crankshaft positioned sideways and an exhaust manifold 4 situated frontward, the exhaust emission control system is supported trough a simple mechanism under a state that free pitching and rolling vibration of the internal combustion engine is allowed and inflicting of heat injury on the internal combustion engine is decreased. The part, situated downstream from the exhaust emission control system 7, of the exhaust pipe 5 is supported under the floor of a car body trough a rubber mount 6. Further, a ball type pipe coupling 8 is arranged at a connection part between the exhaust pipe 5 and the exhaust manifold 4.
