PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift device for clothes drying poles that is convenient specially to elderly and impaired people by automatically and optionally changing height of the clothes drying poles. SOLUTION: A lift device for clothes drying poles is constituted by a left and a right pillars 1, 2, a hollow lateral bar 3 that connects the two pillars at top ends, a power resource 5 arranged in the lateral pole, sliders 20 that rise and fall along each pillars, power transmitting means 11, 17 that lift or lower the sliders by a power, pole keepers 24 that are connected to the slider and are arranged in outer side of each pillars, and an operation part 25 and a control means arranged in one of the pillars for driving and controlling the power resource 5.
