PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket for a bicycle whose dimension and shape of the upper opening part are changeable by linking a pair of basket half bodies of L-shaped cross section, which constitutes the upper opening part, in such a state as expanded/contracted in the vertical width direction. SOLUTION: This basket 1 which is used by attaching it in front of a handle, an upper part, or a rear part of a carrier of a bicycle is formed by molding hard and rigid resin. This basket 1 is constituted of a pair of front/rear basket half bodies 2, 3 which have L-shaped center cross section and are linked so as to be expanded/contracted in the vertical width direction, and a pair of two links 4, 5 which connect the both basket half bodies 2, 3 to each other between the left/right upper ends. The pair of basket half bodies of L-shaped cross section are linked to be expanded/contracted in the vertical width direction and the dimension of the upper opening part can be arbitrarily changed so that the four functions of this basket 1 can be used differently according to the needs such as the size of the storing article or the preference of a user of the bicycle.
