PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope whose inside resistivity is secured by reducing steam penetrating to the inside of the endoscope when it is sterilized with an autoclave. SOLUTION: The vent frame of this endoscope consists of a communicating pipe 40, a rotary body 50, a cover ring 60, a valve 70, a moisture absorbent member 80, porous members 81 and 82, and a fixing member 90. The communicating tube 40 has a communicating hole formed by a valve room making an inner through hole 31a of the connector part 31 communicate with the outside and a member setting hole. The rotary body 50 is engaged with the outer surface of the large diameter part of the communicating pipe from outside and is rotatable as for the communicating pipe 40. The cover ring 60 has a rotary body holding hole to be engaged with the outer surface of the rotary body 50 from outside and is fixed integrally to the communicating pipe 40. The valve 70 can move forward/backward and rotate in the axial direction of the communicating pipe 40. The moisture absorbent member 80, put on the member setting hole, is made of highly moisture absorbent material. The porous members 81 and 82 have sufficient air-permeability to hold the moisture absorbent member 80 but no liquid-permeability. The fixing member 90 has a female screw part on the inner surface to be engaged with a male screw part of the communicating pipe 40.
