摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an axle capable of enhancing of a reliability of a detecting device for detecting a rotational speed of an axle. SOLUTION: An inner ring 3 is rotatably supported by an outer ring 1 mounted on a chassis A. A dead axle 4 supporting a non-drive wheel is supported to the inner ring 3. A pulse ring 6 is mounted on an outer periphery of the inner ring 3 and a rotational speed of the dead axle 4 is calculated by detecting revolutions of the pulse ring 6 by a sensor 7 axially opposed to the pulse ring 6. A cap-like cover 10 is mounted to an end of the outer ring 1 and the pulse ring 6 and the sensor 7 are protected by the cover 10 to prevent a damage of the pulse ring 6 and the sensor 7 by a collision of a flying stone. A rubber packing 12 is mounted to an inner periphery of an insert hole 11 formed on the cover 10 into which the sensor is inserted to prevent an invasion of a muddy water into the cover 10. It is prevented that the pulse ring 6 and the sensor 7 are corroded by adhesion of the muddy water.
