PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact solenoid valve capable of reducing required current. SOLUTION: When electromagnetic force of a solenoid mechanism 9 is made a first prescribed value, this valve is constituted so that a first valve element 5 may be opened against a difference of energizing force of a first and second springs 8 and so that a second valve element 6 may be closed by energizing force of the second spring 8. Also when electromagnetic force of the solenoid mechanism 9 is made the first prescribed value and a hydraulic holding mode is obtained, for instance, only electromagnetic force of a size against a difference of energizing force of the first and second springs 7, 8 is required to be generated. As compared with electromagnetic force against the total of energizing force of the two springs required in a conventional technique, electromagnetic force to be generated is only required to be small. By the small electromagnetic force, current flowing in a coil can be reduced, the number of winding of the coil can be reduced, and thereby the device can be made compact and arrangement space can be reduced by making the shape of the coil small, and capacity of a battery can be reduced.
