PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water saving stem effectively wipe off incongruous feeling of a user. SOLUTION: This is a water saving stem mounted inside a water discharge pipe in a faucet of an aqueduct and suppressing the water quantity discharged from the discharge pipe. In this case, this is provided with a columnar stem body 2, a back facing 4 formed by notching an optional point of the top end 2A of the stem body 2 into an optional depth, and a plurality of through holes 5, 6, 7 formed from the bottom 4A of the back facing 4 to the bottom end 2B of the stem body 2.
