PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable plastic molding which is highly strong and excellent in heat sealing properties and moreover has a significantly reduced biodegradation time. When biodegradable refuse sacks, which are to be thrown into a garbage disposal machine, are formed from the biodegradable plastic molding, the sacks may prevent troubles, such as damage of the garbage dis posal machine and extinction of microorganisms, from occuring. SOLUTION: The biodegradable plastic molding is obtained by irradiating the surface of a base article 3 (bottle-type base article) molded from a biodegradable plastic with ultraviolet rays. Preparation of the biodegradable plastic molding comprises molding a biodegradable plastic into a base article 3 (bottle-type base article) and irradiating the surface thereof with ultraviolet rays to decrease the molecular weight of the surface layer, thereby reducing the biodegradable time.
