PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump for both draining and washing which is small in the reduction of the drainage flow quantity and in the remaining water quantity impossible to drain irrespectively of the increase in the head and pressure loss of the drain passage and to provide a pump for both draining and washing which is higher than a conventional one in drainage flow quantity. SOLUTION: This pump has a scroll 2, an impeller 3, a motor 4 which can be rotate in both ways, a first spout 8 from which washing water is spouted when the motor is rotated in the right direction, a second spout 5 with an opening in the flow passage formed between the inner surface of the scroll and the outer surface of the impeller 3, and a valve plate 6 attached to the second spout 5 to open/close it. The valve plate 6 closes the second spout 5 by the water flow when the motor is rotated in the right direction, and opens the second spout 5 when the motor is rotated in the reverse direction. As a protrusion 7 is formed near the first spout 8 inside the scroll, the flow striking against the inside of the scroll from the outside of the impeller 3 and running toward the first spout 8 is blocked by the protrusion 7 when the washing water is drained from the second spout 5. Therefore, when the washing water is drained, the rate of the divided flow to the first spout 8 is kept low and the volume of the remaining water is reduced.
