PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a negative electrode material for alkaline secondary battery having a superior discharging characteristic at a low cost, by using a metal which hardly has components harmful to a human being. SOLUTION: A support is coated with a mixture, containing at least one kind of component selected from among a metal molybdenum powder, molybdenum compound, metal tungsten powder and tungsten compound and at least one kind of component selected in the metal cobalt powder and the cobalt compound, or the mixture is compressed for forming, and sintered in the reduced atmosphere. |
