PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer head wherein occurrence of a misoperation of a driver IC is prevented and manufacturing cost is comparatively low so that this printer head is suitable for mass-production. SOLUTION: This optical printer head comprises a head substrate 1 on which a light-emitting array chip 3 having multiple light emitting elements arranged in a line on one main face thereof and a driver IC 4 for controlling emitting of a light of each of the light emitting elements are mounted and a metallic plate 5 having a hole section 5a corresponding to the outline of the driver IC 4. The metallic plate 5 is mounted on one main face such that the driver IC 4 is provided in the hole section 5a and the metallic plate 5 is connected to the ground to be the ground voltage. The head substrate 1 and metallic plate 5 are installed in housing 6, 7. One end face 5c of the metallic plate 5 is contacted with a side face of the light-emitting array chip 3 and the other end face 5d is with an inner wall of the housing 7.
