PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of informing whether a core in a sampling pipe is twisted to enter or not and also the direction in which the core is pointed under the ground over the total length in a core sampling device for geological survey. SOLUTION: An outer pipe 2 to which a bit 12 is fixed is suspended on a rotating boring rod 1 through an outer pipe head 7, an inner pipe 3 is supported on the inside of the outer pipe 2 not to be rotated to the rotation of the outer pipe 2, and a sampling pipe 4 taking a core C is removably installed in the upper part of the inner pipe 3. In this case, a claw part 23 giving a scar K to the entering core C is projected inward on the lower part of the inner pipe 3, an azimuth detector 5 incorporating a compass 28 is removably provided on the inside of the inner pipe 3, and a means for fixing the direction of a stylus 32 of the compass 28 under the ground is provided.
