The method involves correlating a first signal, which is spread using a first spreading sequence (KSF1), with a second spread sequence (KSF2), which is shorter than the first, to detect the message. The shorter sequence is a part of the first sequence. The second sequence is as short as possible but at least long enough so that messages can be received with sufficient quality or reliability.
