FIELD: medicine and pharmaceutical composition. SUBSTANCE: described are new macrocyclic bis-indolemaleimide derivatives of formula I: <EMI ID=0.1 HE=49 WI=75 TI=CHI> wherein R1,R2,X,Y,W,m are as defined in claim 1. They relate to new and potent proteinkinase C inhibitors and have high isosime selectivity. They are useful in treating diseases associated with diabetes and also diseases such as ischemia, skin diseases and cancer.
