FIELD: cosmetic industry. SUBSTANCE: cosmetic composition comprises (i) benzene-1,4-di(3-methylidene- 10-camphorsulfo)acid in partially or completely neutralized form as first filter and (ii) 2-ethylhexyl- alpha-beta,beta-diphenylacrylate as second filter in cosmetically acceptable carrier, especially of oil-in- water type. These compounds allow for synergistic activity. Also described is method of protection of skin and/or hair from UV irradiation by applying said composition onto them.
