PURPOSE:To produce a ceramic molded body ensuring remarkably enhanced toughness and strength without considerably varying the conventional process. CONSTITUTION:Crystals are grown by sintering with Si3N4 or SiC as principal starting material to form three kinds of hexagonal prismatic whiskers each made of a single crystal of very high purity and having different sizes as basic constituent grains 10. A circular or granular single crystals of one or more among TiC, SiC, TiN, Cr4C4, ZrC, ZrN and CrN or combined crystals are deposited as grains 20 in the grain boundaries 18, 19 of the basic constituent grains 10. |
