This invention relates to the use of an 'alpha','alpha''-iminobis(methylene)bis[2-chromanmethanol] derivative for the manufacture of a medicament for the therapeutic or prophylactic treatment of humans suffering from or prone to degenerative diseases and conditions of the vascular and nervous system which are associated with oxidative stress or for people with expectation of generating of these diseases.
