PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect an aromatic organic chloro-compound such as dioxin selectively without using an organic solvent and an adsorbent and accumutating a waste after analysis, by optimizing a parameter (q) value in response to a measuring object to selectively trap an objective ion inside an ion trap, and by applying an auxiliary RF voltage. SOLUTION: A three-dimensional ion trap 1 has a ring electrode 2 and end caps 3, 4 facing each other. An analyzing sample is ionized within an electric field of the ring electrode 2 to be detected by an electron multiplier 9 after passing through an ion-passing through hole of the end cap 3. A (q) value is optimized at first in response to an aromatic organic chloro-compound of a measuring object. For example, when tetrachloro-dibenzo-dioxin is measured, an RF voltage generator (main) 5 is scanned to adjust electric field parameters V andωso as to set the (q)=0.45. In the condition, an RF generator (sub-) 6 is operated to apply 1.5 V of high auxiliary RF voltage, so as to detect a signal of the tetrachloro-dibenzo-dioxin with high selectivity.
