PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set capable of corresponding to another speech such as a call-waiting generated during speaking by utilizing the function of an existing telephone set without complicating an external auxiliary input device such as an exhalation switch instructing operation of a physically handicapped person. SOLUTION: Operation of instructing answering to another speech such as call-waiting, operation of instructing storing the additional speech and operation of instructing on-hook processing are regulated depending on the length of the closing time or opening time of the exhalation switch 3. A telephone set control circuit 10 in the telephone set 1 measures the closing time or opening time of the exhalation switch 3 during speaking and executes processing according to the time.
