PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide device and method for displaying an image automatically replacing a virtual scene and a figure according to a time band and a mood based on user's taste and convenience. SOLUTION: In the image display device provided with an input/output interface inputting/outputting the image data and an image display means displaying the image data, switching procedure of the image data displayed on the image display means is instructed by an operation means, and the switching procedure instructed by the operation means is held to a hold means. Further, the timing executing the switching procedure is generated by a timer means. Further, the image data displayed on the image display means are optionally deformation processed by an image processing means. Further, the image data are received by a communication means connected to a prescribed information network. Further, the image data are stored in a storage means 3-2.
