PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin valve(SV) magneto-resistance effect element evaluating device which is capable of evaluating whether the region, where magnetization is reversed in the pin layer of an SV magneto-resistance effect element, exists or not. SOLUTION: The SV magneto-resistance effect type element evaluating device is provided with a head evaluating device 11, which includes the evaluation tracks that record magnetic information, an oscilloscope 13, to which reproducing signals of an SV head 21 that uitlizes an SV element are inputted through an amplifier 12, and a personal computer(PC) 14 which measures the track profiles that are the data indicating the relative position dependency against an evaluation track of the output of the head 21 by controlling the device 11 and the oscilloscope 13.
