PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly judge the level of carbon monoxide from the output voltage of a carbon monoxide sensor which uses a solid electrolyte body. SOLUTION: The voltage between electrodes 2 and 3 set on a solid electrolyte plate 1 is amplified by an amplifier 8 and also input to an integrator circuit 9 to continuously update the zero point voltage. When a carbon monoxide sensor element part 7 is in a transient state, the constitution is made so as not to update the zero point by a first timer 11 and a second timer 13. Accordingly, the sensor control circuit is improved in detection accuracy.
