<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten communication time and to reduce communication cost by providing the information volume reducing device with a means for reducing information volume by extracting detected image or sound information, a means for returning reduced information to data and transmitting the data and other means and reducing data volume up to a limit generating no trouble in practical use so as to repeat the reduced data volume. SOLUTION: In the case of receiving data by a repeating function 2 and transmitting the received data to a repeat destination, a data sort analyzing means 3 analyzes the received data and detects image or sound information from the data and an information volume reducing means 4 reduces information volume returns the reduced information into data and transmits the data to the function 2. At the time, the means 3 detects the image or sound information to be reduced at its volume based on an identifier included in the received data. When data to be repeated include much data such as image or sound data, the data volume is reduced up to a limit generating no trouble in practical use and the reduced data are repeated, so that communication time can be shortened and communication cost can be reduced.</p> |
