PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the quantity of data on an intermediate code by producing a display list including the start and end points of every outline vector that is generated by an outline vector generation means and carrying out a paint-out processing based on the display list. SOLUTION: A plotting data spool part 10 outputs plotting data to a plotting data interpretation part 11 which interprets the plotting data and transfers them to a vector data generation part 12 as a plotting instruction. The part 12 generates the vector data constructing a plotting object based on the plotting instruction, and a display list generation part 13 generates a display list based on the vector data. A paint-out processing part 15 receives the display list and carries out the paint-out processing based on the vector information including the start and end points and the direction of every vector and also the number of crossings existing between the vector and a scanning line.
