PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply select a menu by reading menu management information from mutually different layers for storing, selecting the menu, based on the stored menu management information for creating a menu selection picture, and by displaying the menu selection picture. SOLUTION: A menu selection information maintain means (x) 8 stores a menu ID and address information that exist in a disk. The information is transferred from a data read means (x) 4. A menu selection means (x) 9 creates and displays a menu picture that can be selected based on menu selection information being stored in the menu selection information maintain means (x) 8, and at the same time issues a corresponding menu display command when a user performs selection operation according to the display. A menu control means (x) 10 responds to the display command for acquiring the address information of a corresponding menu from the menu selection information retention means (x) 8, and reads a corresponding cell from the disk, based on the address information for displaying on a screen.
