PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk player in which an interrupted place is retrieved automatically and in which a reproducing operation can be performed from the place when a disk whose reproducing operation is interrupted and which is taken out from a player is reproduced again. SOLUTION: In an optical disk player, a disk 1 in which information about the feature of the disk 1 and information about the reproducing absolute time are recorded together with information to be reproduced is placed, and a function to reproduce the information to be reproduced is provided. In the optical disk player, a memory 12 provided with a plurality of storage regions in such a way that a first subregion which stores the information about the feature of the disk 1 and a second subregion in which a reproducing operation is interrupted and which stores the reproducing absolute time in the reproducing interrupted place of the disk 1 taken out from the optical disk player are provided individually is provided. In addition, a means by which whether the inserted disk 1 is a disk whose reproduction is interrupted in the past and which is taken out from the inside of the player is retrieved and detected from the respective storage regions in the memory 12 is provided.
