COMPUTER SYSTEM CAPABLE OF EFFECTIVE USE OF MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the storage capacity of a memory for execution of a ROM base program. SOLUTION: A new application program 50 is loaded into a lower address part of a memory under the condition where the program 50 overlaps at least partly an existing application program. A current existing variable 42 is placed again at a position adjacent to the program 50. When the program 50 is initialized, a new variable block 52 which increases toward a lower address part is produced in a higher address edge of the memory and the current state of the first application program 40 is maintained while the largest single area is allowed to the program 50.
