<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating radioactive waste liquid capable of reducing radioactivity concentration to a level capable of discharging to the sea or reusing even if the radioactivity concentration in the radioactive waste liquid is high. SOLUTION: After drying radioactive waste liquid containing radioactive materials and sodium compounds to be a dried body, this dried body is made to be molten salt by heating, which is made anode liquid to be electrolyzed by using sodium ion conductiveβ-alumina as a diaphragm in the method for treating radioactive waste liquid. A plurality of diaphragms are placed in multiple steps and intermediate tanks 28 are formed with these diaphragms 20 and 22 placed in multiple steps in between an anode 24 and a cathode 26 to electrolyze.</p> |
