摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can precisely find a trace drawn on a tablet surface with a pen tip even when the trace is not drawn with a single stroke and can precisely recognize the character. SOLUTION: This device has a ball rotation sensor 22 which measures a trace of movement in an X and a Y direction, a contact state discrimination part 25 which decides whether or not the pen tip is in contact with the tablet surface, an acceleration sensor 23 which measures the trace of movement tin the X and Y directions, and a control part 30 which finds a contact movement trace by the ball rotation sensor 22 while the pen tip and tablet surface are in contact with each other, and uses as the start-point coordinates of each contact movement trace the end-point coordinates of a noncontact movement trace found by the acceleration sensor 23 in a noncontact state right before that and also uses as the start-point coordinates of each noncontact movement trace the end-point coordinates of a contact movement trace found by the ball rotation sensor 22 in a contact state right before that.</p>
