PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the amount of displacement of a polyurethane elastomer by a method wherein the length between the crosslinking points of a segmented polyurethane elastomer is controlled to control the amount of displacement of a polyurethane actuator. SOLUTION: In the case where an actuator has a polyester of a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 and a polyether or a polycarbornate as a soft segment, the length between the crosslinking points of a segmented polyurethane elastomer is lengthened, whereby the amount of displacement of the actuator containing a polyurethane having a hexamethylenediisocyanate, a polyurethane having a paraphenylenediiso-cyanate, a polyurethane having a tolylenediisocyanate, a polyurethane having a diphenylenethanediisocyanate and the like as its main component is controlled. Thereby, the amount of displacement of a polyurethane elastomer can be increased. |
