PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow constitution of the reduced number of part items with a relatively simple mechanism to attain size reduction and cost reduction, and to efficiently and surely carry out appearance inspection of high level. SOLUTION: A flat tablet(t) is conveyed in an upright posture and in a condition that its one part is projected from a peripheral face of a conveying drum 1 and that a projected part is inserted into a guide groove 21 while guiding the projected part by the guide groove 21, the flat tablet(t) is inclined to one side in the first skew part 211 of the guide groove 211 to photograph a surface through a surface photographing window 212, it is inclined to the other side in the second skew part 213 to photograph a reverse face through a reverse face photographing window 214, and a surface image and a reverse face image of the flat tablet(t) are provided thereby.
