PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a housing of a small number of components and to make attachable a metal protector to the housing easily and surely in a sensor device wherein the housing, an IC module in which a detection part is arranged in the tip part of the housing and which is housed and fixed inside the housing, a cord which is connected to the IC module inside the housing, and the metal protector which is attached to the housing so as to cover the detection part, are provided. SOLUTION: The housing 16 is constituted of an inside body 22 which is molded with a mold from a synthetic resin in such a way that the connection part to an IC module 17 of a cord 18 and the IC module 17 are covered. In addition, it is constituted of an outer shell body 23 into which an inside assembly 27 formed by attaching a protector 19 to the inside body 22 is inserted, which is formed by a mold molding operation in a mold apparatus, in which a part of the protector 19 is exposed to the outside, with which the inside assembly 27 is covered and which is made of a synthetic resin.
