PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle free rule which permits drawing at an arbitrary angle to a solid object and easy measurement of an angle. SOLUTION: A linear rule 1 is grasped by two L-shaped plates 4 provided with a protractor 5 near the center of an end part not contacting a side plate 8 which contacts a reference line face of a bottom plate 7 and can be easily fixed by a shaft 9 such as screw. This permits fixing of the linear rule 1 and the L-shaped plates 4 at an arbitrary angle.
