PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock confirming device that is easily installed and by which the user can cast care aside until returning home by confirming the locking state from a visit place. SOLUTION: The lock confirming device 10 incorporates an intermittent switch 17 that is inserted and connected between a telephone line 31 and an automatic answering telephone set 35 to shut down connection between the telephone line 31 and the automatic answering telephone set 35 and a line connector 19 connecting to the telephone line 31 into a main body 11, to which a sensor 27 sensing a locking state of a lock connects. The lock confirming device 10 also incorporates a confirming control means 12 that turns off the intermittent switch 17 upon receiving a specific password code via the telephone line 31 and allows a tone signal in a different sound set corresponding to the sensing state of the sensor 27 to be outputted to the telephone line 31 via the line connector 19 into the main body section 11.
