PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device for computer system capable of highly efficiently operating the device by constructing a multicomputer system by applying a USB interface system. SOLUTION: This device is provided with upstream side hub chips 11, 11 corresponding to computers PCi (i=1 and 2), selector 12, downstream side hub chip 13 and microcomputer 14. The microcomputer 14 selects the upstream side hub chips 11, 11 through the selector 12 and connects them to the downstream side hub chip 13. Any arbitrary task can be highly efficiently executed by the downstream side equipment corresponding to the downstream side hub chip 13 common for the respective computers PCi and the downstream side equipment corresponding to the upstream side hub chip 11 dedicated to the specified computers PCi.
