PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure reliability of a battery as a product by manufacturing the battery which is stable in performance. SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material 4 is charged in a hollow cylindrical body along the inner circumference of a negative electrode can 2 of a bottomed hollow cylindrical body, and a positive electrode active material 8 is charged in the hollow cylindrical body via a separator 6 inside the negative electrode active material 4. A spirally formed positive electrode current collector 10 is disposed along in a cylinder lengthwise direction inside the positive electrode active material 8. The positive electrode current collector 10 of which an outer diameter dimension is formed shorter than an inner diameter dimension of the positive electrode active material 8, and is compressively enclosed inside the positive electrode active material 8. The positive electrode current collector 10 is expanded in its outer diameter according to the compressively enclosed condition and adhered to an inner wall of the positive electrode active material 8 at its outer circumferential part.
