PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of displaying two images on a screen with simple constitution. SOLUTION: When a sub-image display switch 20 is turned ON, an input signal switch circuit 11 outputs a sub-image video signal S2 as a signal S31. An A/D converter 12 fetches an image signal S311 related to an image by one frame of the signal S31 to convert it to a digital image signal S32. The signal S32 is converted to the signal S33 corresponding to a screen area of a prescribed size by an image reduction circuit 13. The signal S33 is written in a prescribed area of a frame memory 15 through a memory control circuit 14. Thereafter, a main image video signal S1 is outputted from the circuit 11, and the signal S1 is written in the area except the prescribed area in the frame memory 15 through the converter 12, the circuits 13, 14. A moving image related to the signal S1 and a still image related to the signal S2 are displayed on a screen of a liquid crystal panel 17.
